A Statement from the Vascular Institute of Virginia Regarding COVID-19

Recently our community, both locally and globally, has been impacted by the novel coronavirus, COVID-19, as it has been declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO) and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). We at the Vascular Institute of Virginia continue to monitor the recommendations for ourselves as healthcare professionals, as well as our patients, to ensure we are doing all that we can to limit the spread of illness. Our team is taking every precaution necessary to keep each other and our patients safe and healthy during this time.

At this time the Vascular Institute of Virginia will remain open for regular business hours to provide treatments and procedures for patients. We have face masks and hand sanitizer available for our patients in waiting rooms, and encourage patients who have a personal vehicle to wait outside of our waiting room until it is their time to be seen. We are taking every precaution necessary to thoroughly clean patient areas between patient visits, which may cause a slight delay between appointments.

We do ask that if you do not feel well, have respiratory symptoms such as a cough or shortness of breath, or have a fever, please call ahead of your appointment to cancel or reschedule. We will continue to provide updates in a timely manner as we receive new information and recommendations from the WHO and CDC. We pride ourselves on providing a safe and enjoyable experience for all of our patients, and we will continue to do what is best for our patients, our team, and our community.
