Sarah Carlton is a certified Physician Assistant at the Vascular Institute of Virginia. Sarah obtained her undergraduate degree from Cornell University in 2005 and graduated from Philadelphia University with a Masters in Physician Assistant Studies in 2007.
Sarah started her practice in hospital medicine in 2007 at the University of Rochester Health System. There, she obtained a broad knowledge of medicine including diagnosing and treating serious acute and chronic illnesses in a fast-paced and high-volume environment. She thrived treating a wide and diverse range of illnesses, managing and coordinating patient care.
In 2019, she transitioned to The Vein Institute of Rochester NY where she specialized in venous care. There, she found her passion treating superficial venous insufficiency, pelvic congestion syndrome, deep venous disease and spider veins. Sarah joins VIV after relocating to the Fredericksburg area with her husband and 2 daughters.
